What is your favorite racing distance and race?

Where is your favorite place to run in New England?
Walden Pond or on the Boston course

Tell us about your most memorable race experience or training run.
This past December, I won the Tucson Marathon and broke 3:00 for the first time. Breaking 3:00 has been a huge goal of mine, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect race.  I ran smart and actually ran a negative split.  This was the first race that I competed in wearing the BAA uniform. I look forward to running more for the team and achieving even bigger goals!

What event(s) are you training for?
The Boston Marathon is my main focus right now, but I would also love to get my half marathon time down this year.

What’s the most difficult training workout you have accomplished?
I completed a 22 mile run that included 15 miles at marathon pace a couple weeks before running the Steamtown Marathon. At the time it was very challenging as is was the first time I incorporated marathon pace into a long run.  It gave me confidence and helped me advance to the next level. I ended up running an 18 minute PR at Steamtown!

What’s your alternative training activity to running?
I enjoy yoga and swimming.

When you’re not running, what do you like to do?
I love staying active and being outside.

If you could run anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would love to run through Africa!

What’s your profession or field of work?
Middle school math teacher

What’s your favorite adidas racing or training shoe?
I am new to adidas and getting used to their gear.  So far I enjoy training in the Boston and jumping on the track in the Adios.
